Coles County Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry welcoming all people dedicated to improving  living standards within its community.  The organization strives to enrich quality of life by building and preserving safe, affordable housing for qualified families and individuals through education, networking and community partnerships.

In November 2017, Coles County Habitat completed our 37th home for our newest family, Aisha Crowe and her daughters, Destiny & Trinity.

A special thanks goes out to all of our volunteers and construction site supervisors, Butch Thompson & Zach Whitley, for their incredible dedication in completing the home!  More than 100 volunteers worked over 2,000 hours on building this home!  Along with Habitat's longtime loyal volunteers, dozens of new individuals signed up to volunteer and 7 groups including First Christian Church, Wells Fargo Advisors, Anixter Power Solutions, EIU's Habitat Chapter, Lakeview College of Nursing, Home Depot and Mattoon Rotary.

Habitat extends our deepest gratitude to First Christian Church and Wells Fargo Advisors for their significant financial contributions in supporting this build.

We also want to recognize our generous donors who provided in-kind professional services &/or materials for the home: Warren Ebinger with Ebinger Construction (roof), Shonn Hild with Hild Landscaping (landscaping), Bob Becker with Corrie Appraisal (appraisal), Mike Arthur with Arthurs Flooring (flooring).

Finally, a warm thank you to Ida Cockrum (Former Habitat Board President) and Rich Crackel, for being Aisha's partner family support team.
