Family Selection Committee

The Family Selection Committee applies the organization's established eligibility criteria to identify and select people in need of decent, affordable housing. The committee seeks to welcome new families into the Habitat family by providing them with a mutual support system, educational opportunities and a forum for discussions regarding homeownership and relevant Habitat policies and procedures. This committee works with homeowner families to be sure they understand and fulfill the sweat equity requirement and helps them make the transition to being home owners.

Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee focuses on the coordination of fundraising events (e.g., Habifeast, Four for the Fourth, etc.) as opposed to development of overall fundraising strategies. The Committee is responsible for the general oversight of the affiliate's annual fundraising events, assuring that event-based committees or subcommittees are in place to successfully plan, coordinate and implement each event. The committee maintains active contact with each event committee through liaison membership and coordinates its activities with the Public Relations Committee.
