Get Involved! Thank you for considering contributing your time to help Coles County Habitat for Humanity in providing affordable housing for families in need. There are many opportunities for you to get involved, and you don't need to be an expert to help out. If you are interested in becoming involved in Habitat, tell us a little bit about yourself and your interests. We are always working hard to accommodate everyone who wishes to volunteer, but assignments are sometimes limited and confined to the opportunities available at the time of the request. We need your help, and we would like to give you the opportunity to volunteer in a rewarding and challenging role. Click here to register. On-site construction work is the most popular of Habitat's volunteer opportunities. We make every effort to incorporate all willing volunteers regardless of skill level, even if you've never picked up a hammer, you can still help build a Habitat home. If you do have construction experience, you can help show others the ropes. On-site constuction takes place primarily on Saturdays, but some projects also work one day during the week. Volunteers must be 16 years or older to work on the constuction sites. Pre-registration is not required. Click here for more information about construction volunteering. We are constantly seeking persons who are willing to serve on one of our organization's committees and actively participate in the year-around work of keeping Coles County Habitat for Humanity operating and functioning in a well organized manner. We have plenty of tasks and a wide variety of jobs to keep you involved -- from helping clear tables at the annual Habifeast dinner to helping us improve the understanding of Habitat's mission by giving presentations to local churches or other organizations. Our volunteers find great joy in working with our organiztion. You owe it to yourself to get involved.
Coles County Habitat for Humanity is presently constructing homes. Needs for volunteers vary according to the priorities of the building schedule. We try to coordinate the number of volunteers at the build site so that each person can be engaged in a meaningful way. Click here for more information about the current schedule. | ||||
